Anyone with a RentersBook account, posting about a landlord, tenant, or property they actually rented from or to. Every review is tied to the rental relationship the reviewer describes when they post it, and it can be reported and looked into if something does not add up. This is not an open comment section for anyone passing through.

Do landlords really review tenants too?

Yes, and that is the point. Reviews run in both directions. Landlords rate tenants on rent history, rule compliance, guests, pets and move-out condition, and tenants rate landlords on repairs, inspections, rent increases and amenities.

Can I upload photos as evidence?

Yes. Tenants can attach images to a review: a repair that was never made, a condition at move-in, a cleared or uncleared walkway. Photo evidence makes a review far harder to dispute.

How is my data protected?

User data is protected with state-of-the-art encryption, in transit and at rest. Anything you share with us to create an account is kept private and is never shown on your public profile.

Use the search bar and pick whether you are looking for a landlord, a tenant or a property. Precise search mechanisms narrow results by city, property type and date range so what you get back is actually relevant.

Reading reviews and posting one review a month is free forever. Pro and Landlord+ add unlimited reviews, advanced filters, screening reports and analytics.

What exactly am I rated on?

Tenants rate landlords on timely repairs, maintenance staff, rent increases and inspection frequency, and rate properties on amenities, snow removal, utilities and noise. Landlords rate tenants on rent payment, rule compliance, pets, children, guests and move-out condition.

Can I edit or delete a review I wrote?

You can edit a review while the tenancy is ongoing or within 30 days of publishing. After that, you can add an update rather than rewrite history, so the timeline stays honest.

Someone posted something false about me. What now?

Report the review and our moderation team looks into it within 24 hours. Reviews that do not describe an actual rental relationship, or that breach our content rules, are removed.

Is my review anonymous?

Reviews are attributed to your account's display name, not your full legal name. Tenants appear with a display name rather than a legal name, so what you post is not tied to your identity in public.

Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes. You can update your details in account settings at any time, or request deletion. We deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases, subject to legal retention requirements.

Can I switch or cancel my plan?

Upgrade at any time and it applies immediately. Cancel and you keep paid features until the end of the billing period. Reviews you have published stay live either way.

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards, plus PayPal. Billing is handled by our payment processor and card details are never stored on our servers.

Can I respond to a review of my property?

Yes. Pro and Landlord+ accounts can post a public response on any review of a property or landlord profile they have claimed. Responses sit alongside the original review rather than replacing it.

How do tenant screening reports work?

Landlord+ accounts can pull a screening report on an applicant who has a RentersBook profile. The report aggregates reviews from previous landlords across rent history, rule compliance and move-out condition.

I manage a large portfolio. Can I bulk-upload properties?

Accepted Answer

Landlord+ supports bulk property listings and portfolio-level analytics. If you manage more than 100 units, contact us about custom terms.
